System Development Engineer

As a system development engineer for the RAVEN IT system, I curated a unique blend of technical expertise across several IT domains as well as furthering my hands-on implementation skills by delivering tangible outputs.

Key Achievements/Projects:

  • Implemented a full automation system to build a deployed node with minimal human interaction. This resulted in reduced time to build a node from 3 months to 5 days allowing time for manual sanity checks. Rather than the node building process requiring the use of the highest skilled personnel within the team, it can now be completed by junior engineers resulting in better utilisation of personnel’s capabilities.
  • Enhanced deployed security of IT system due to reduced human configuration errors.
  • Awarded the prestigious RAF Innovation Award in 2022 for developing a clandestine solution to a critical digital problem facing the RAF’s secret IT infrastructure. Led the conceptualization, development, testing, and deployment of this capability, achieving operational deployment in just 3 months from initial inception, far surpassing industry partner timelines.
